Methodology & safeguards

A directory built around official sources.

Coverage matters, but a large list is only useful if its destinations, eligibility, and limitations remain trustworthy.

01

Discover without gated scraping

We look for public merchant pages, public search results, press releases, official help pages, and user-submitted official URLs. We do not crawl authenticated ID.me, GOVX, SheerID, employer, or association portals.

02

Confirm the actual destination

A retail record must point to a specific official offer or merchant program—not a verification provider's front page. Member programs link back to the organization describing them.

03

Review before publication

Automated checks can flag broken links or changed language, but a human approves changes to discount amounts, eligibility, and exclusions before they appear in a release.

04

Date every claim

Each record includes a last-verified date. When sources disagree, we use the more conservative active term and explain the uncertainty.

What the pilot never does

It does not handle verification credentials, identity tokens, health information, employee records, or payment information. It does not scrape authenticated pages or auto-apply a discount.
