Apple beta now live on TestFlight

Install PerkRounds and let the discount alert come to you.

The iPhone, iPad, and Mac Safari apps are now available through Apple TestFlight. Install the version that matches your device, then complete the Safari setup below. The extension checks only the current page when you open it unless you separately choose to enable automatic retailer alerts. The beta is currently named Healthcare Savings Pilot.

The Apple beta is open for testing now.

Chrome uses a downloaded ZIP because the extension is not yet in the Chrome Web Store. iPhone, iPad, and Mac use TestFlight, Apple's official beta-testing app. Keep TestFlight installed so you can receive future beta updates. Safari's automatic website access is optional.

Use this version in Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop. Chrome on iPhone, iPad, and Android does not install desktop extensions.

  1. 1

    Download and unzip the file

Click the download button above. On a Mac, open Downloadsin Finder and double-click the ZIP. On Windows, open Downloadsin File Explorer, right-click the ZIP, and choose Extract All.

  2. 2

    Open Chrome's extension manager

Open Chrome, type chrome://extensions in the address bar, and press Return or Enter. Turn on Developer modein the upper-right corner.

  3. 3

    Load the unzipped folder

Click Load unpacked. Select the folder named Healthcare Savings 0.7.0—the folder containing manifest.json. Do not select the ZIP itself.

  4. 4

    Pin the icon

Click Chrome's puzzle-piece Extensions button, then click the pin next to Healthcare Savings. Keep the unzipped folder on your computer; Chrome loads the pilot from that folder.

  5. 5

Choose your healthcare profile and test it

Visit a supported retailer such as YETI, Garmin, Adidas, Samsung, or Under Armour. Click the extension and select every professional group that applies to you. Green means a likely matching offer; amber means review eligibility; red means no approved offer is known for that site.

Safari extension for iOS and iPadOS

The small iPhone/iPad app installs the Safari extension. Once enabled, it can show an alert when Safari reaches a supported retailer.

  1. 1

    Install TestFlight

On the iPhone or iPad you want to use, install TestFlightfrom Apple's App Store. It is Apple's official beta-app installer.

  2. 2

Accept the invitation and install the app

Return to this page on that device and open the pilot invitation. In TestFlight, tap Accept, then Install. Returning testers may see Update or Openinstead.

  3. 3

    Open the app once

Open Healthcare Savings Pilot from the Home Screen. Follow any setup message shown by the app. The app contains the extension, but the shopping alert itself runs inside Safari.

  4. 4

    Turn on the Safari extension

Open Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Healthcare Savings Pilot. Turn on Allow Extension. If you use Safari profiles, turn it on for each profile where you shop.

  5. 5

Check a retailer with private, current-page access

In Safari, visit YETI, Garmin, Adidas, Samsung, or Under Armour. Open Safari's Page Menu, choose Healthcare Savings Pilot, and allow access to the current page if Safari asks. The extension can identify the retailer without ongoing access to every website.

  6. 6

    Optional: enable automatic retailer alerts

Open the extension and tap Enable automatic retailer alerts. Read Safari's permission notice, then approve only if you want alerts to appear as you arrive at supported retailers. This is optional; manual checking continues to work if you decline.

Updates during the pilot

TestFlight will help you stay on the newest version.

As PerkRounds development continues, you may receive an email from TestFlight—or a notification inside TestFlight—when an updated iPhone, iPad, or Mac build is ready. Apple does not guarantee an email for every update, so keep TestFlight installed and check it periodically.

iPhone or iPad
  1. Open the TestFlight email or open the TestFlight app directly.
  2. Select Healthcare Savings Pilot.
  3. Tap Update. If the button says Open, the newest available build is already installed.
  4. Open the app once, then return to Safari. If alerts do not appear, confirm the extension is still enabled in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions.
Mac
  1. Open the TestFlight email or launch TestFlight from Applications.
  2. Select Healthcare Savings Pilot.
  3. Click Update. If the button says Open, the newest available build is already installed.
  4. Open the app once, then confirm Safari → Settings → Extensions → Healthcare Savings Pilot remains enabled.

TestFlight may install updates automatically when automatic updates are enabled. After any update, your manual current-page check remains the privacy-first default; automatic retailer alerts remain an optional setting.

After installation

What the alert does—and what it never does.

It recognizes the retailer. It compares the current website's domain with the approved offer catalog.

You choose your profile. Your healthcare category is stored locally on your device.

Verification stays official. ID.me, GOVX, SheerID, or the merchant handles eligibility and sign-in.

No automatic checkout changes. The pilot does not read credentials, store verification documents, or auto-apply discounts.

Quick troubleshooting

If the alert does not appear

  • Confirm the extension is enabled and that the site is in the approved catalog.
  • For manual checking in Safari, open the extension from the current retailer page.
  • For automatic alerts, confirm the optional setting is on inside the extension, then refresh the retailer page.
  • In Chrome, return to chrome://extensions and make sure Healthcare Savings is switched on.
  • Open TestFlight and install any available Healthcare Savings Pilot update.
  • Some official offers change or have narrower eligibility; open the extension to review the live terms.
